New Patient Portal – OCEAN (as of April 2025):

 

Dr. Goldade is now using a new patient communication platform called OCEAN to connect with parents and families who are already registered in the practice. You will be asked for your child's name, date of birth and Alberta Health Care Number in order to access the portal. You can use the OCEAN portal to:

  - Send messages and secure documents to Dr. Goldade

  - Receive secure messages directly from Dr. Goldade. The email would come from no-reply@cognisantmed.com

  - To book appointments

A Few Guidelines for Communication with Dr. Goldade:

  - Keep your messages brief – ideally 2–3 sentences or 1–2 question (300 characters only).

  - Always include your child’s full name and date of birth for easy reference.

  - Discuss only one child per message. If you have questions about another child, please start a new message.

  - For urgent or complex concerns (especially related to mental health) consider a visit with your Family Doctor, the ER or The Summit for urgent care.

  - We are only able to address concerns related to your referral. If it has been over a year since your last visit, please ask your Family Physician for a new referral.

  - When sending forms, ensure all sections are completed (including the physician’s portion). A fee may apply for some forms. Ensue that the forms are sent in a modifiable PDF version so that it can be reviewed/edited and signed.

  - We do not respond on weekends or holidays.

  - Please note that conventional email is not secure. Hence, we ask you to use secure and encrypted messaging with the OCEAN Patient Portal.
