If you have already received a date for your virtual appointment, here is some important information.

 

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Contact Us via the Telus Connect App or send an Email to [email protected]

You will be able to cancel/reschedule the appointment yourself if you do so 3 days prior to the scheduled appointment. If it is within 3 days prior - you will be unable to reschedule yourself (ideally) via the TH Connect App or you can email us at [email protected] or text 403-620-4204 so we can arrange an alternative.

 

Please give us LOTS of time to cancel/reschedule as many people are eager for the appointment spots. You may be billed for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, as well as any missed appointments.

  a) Between 2-4 weeks prior to the appointment, you will receive a set of questions that we ask you answer to help us prepare for your visit. Please send us the answers well before the appointment.

 

  b) 7 days prior to the appointment, you should receive a confirmation email or text from our office. Please confirm your appointment as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity to use the time slot if needed.

 

  c) Any automated information from our office is sent to the MAIN (one) email we have on file. The programme is unable to send to two emails. You are welcome to share the info with others.

    Note that sometimes emails from our office may go into a Spam Folder. So, if you can't find it, check there.

 

  d) Regarding the Virtual Call, you will need an Internet-capable device equipped with microphone & camera (computer or smartphone or tablet). You do not need to download an App.

    And note that some work computers might block the Telus link.

    Ensure your browser is compatible. You may need to use a different browser.

    Click on the link to ensure it works.

    Ensure your camera and microphone are working.

 

  e) **** Be sure to obtain your child's Height and Weight (in centimetres and kilograms) before the appointment. It's up to you if you wish for your child to attend, but know that Dr. Goldade always likes to *see* the kids.

 

  f) There are two ways to access your virtual appointment:

1. Using the THConnect App (Recommended): This is the easiest method for managing future bookings, messaging and accessing the Virtual Appointment(s).

  - Download the App: THConnect App (https://thconnect.telushealth.com/login/landing)
  - Instructions: Available at www.drgoldade.com
  - Clinic Name: Goldade
  - Note: If you have more than one child in Dr. Goldade’s practice, each child requires a unique email and password for their profile.

2. Using the Direct Email Link: This ONLY works with a Laptop (not a phone or a tablet). About 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, you will receive an email directly from THConnect (Telus) containing a link and a specific code for the appointment. You do not need the App for this method; but you must have your LAPTOP ready.


**** If multiple people are wanting to join the virtual visit, please note:
- Only ONE person can use the link that is sent via email 5 minutes prior to the booked appointment time. The primary contact in the patient's chart will receive the invite link via email. Or that person can join the appointment via the THConnect App.
- DO NOT forward this link to others as they will receive an error.
- Once the primary contact has joined the virtual visit, that person is able to invite others to the visit through the inviting guests’ button. If you wish to TEXT to invite the guest - type in +122333444, no spaces just +sign and 11 digits. Or you send the invitation via email. - Instructions can be found here (scroll to step 6).
- Dr. Goldade can also support with inviting guests, once one person has joined the virtual visit. 

 

 

  g) If there are any technical difficulties at the time of the appointment, please TEXT 403-620-4204 or send an Email to our admin at [email protected] to resolve any issues. Do NOT Phone.

 

  h) Feel free to send info (Psychoeducational Assessments, Report Cards, IPP/LSPs, Letters from the School) before the visit via the THConnect App.

 

  i) If the issues/questions for your child involve ADHD or Behavioural or Mental Health issues, please have each parent, the child (if over 10 years of age) and the teachers/coaches/tutors complete any relevant rating scales via:

  j) For any acute Mental Health in the meantime, consider going to The Summit.

 

  k) Note that Dr. Goldade is now using an AI Scribe to record the Virtual Visit and then an encounter note is created for the file. If you are not in favour of this recording, please let us know.
